Update: Court is at 3 pm our time, which is 7am CST in the USA.
There is a mandatory 10 day waiting period after court before the ruling takes effect. This can mean 10 business days or 10 regular days and is at the discretion of the judge. Only after the 10 days have passed can a family begin their exit paperwork.
There are some regions in Ukraine where the 10 day waiting period is frequently waived, but ours is not one of those. However, our facilitator says that our case has a pretty strong argument for the judge to allow us to begin our exit paperwork during the 10 days. From our limited perspective, this seems lovely because it would mean an earlier return home. We are praying for this opportunity to expedite things, but trusting that our Father in Heaven has the best vision and will help things go as they should.
