SDA appointment.

This morning we were up early to meet with our facilitator prior to our appointment with the central adoption agency (the SDA).  She talked with us a lot about how critical it is that we approach this whole process with our hearts AND our minds and to listen to the feelings inside our hearts.

It reminded me of the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants 8:2-3 which says:  "Behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold this is the spirit by which Moses brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground."

I went back and read the account in Exodus again and found some really beautiful images.  "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day... The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace." (Exodus 14:13-14)

We felt the Lord's watch-care today.  The information available at the appointment was much more limited than we expected.  There were fewer files than we anticipated and many of the pictures were very out-dated. However, we were able to see the file of a beautiful little girl in Odessa, and we are going tomorrow to meet her. 

She doesn't have a sister, but if our Father in Heaven wants us to bring home two girls, we will find the second one he has sent us to find and they will be sisters soon enough!  The process might just be a little slower since we have to return to Kiev after meeting the first little one to set up an appointment to receive a referral for the second. Both will be from the same region, because to do otherwise would be very long and involve a lot of red tape. 

We are not supposed to post pictures of her until after court, but what we can, we will share. 

We feel like we are on the right track and are moving forward in faith!
